San Diego-based General Contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our growing team.

About the Position
The experienced Project Manager leads commercial renovation and tenant-improvement projects across multiple states. This role oversees projects from preconstruction and estimating through close-out, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety. The Project Manager is organized, proactive, and capable of successfully managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Lead full lifecycle management of commercial remodel and interior build-out projects, including work in occupied, open-for-business facilities
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost controls; maintain overall financial accountability
- Supervise site Superintendents and provide leadership to Project Engineers, supporting mentorship and career development
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers across multiple job sites
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and constructability
- Manage procurement, logistics, subcontract negotiations, and execution of subcontract and prime contract agreements
- Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, quantity take-offs, estimating, and comprehensive project proposals
- Conduct site visits, lead construction meetings (design, preconstruction, and weekly progress), and maintain clear communication with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Lead project close-out, punch list completion, and final documentation
- Maintain overall accountability for project performance, including schedule, budget, contractual obligations, quality, and client satisfaction
About You

You take ownership of your work, protect margins, build strong client relationships, and hold yourself to a high standard, because delivering exceptional projects isn’t just your job, it’s your reputation.
Skills and Experience Required
- Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
- Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Project is needed
- Proven experience managing renovation and tenant-improvement projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across different locations and lead team members
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting
- Adeptness in communication, clearly and effectively, through verbal and written presentation as well as through diagrams
- Detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality customer service
- Ability to analyze obstacles, problem solve, and propose solutions to mitigate cost impact and provide the best possible solution for the client; ability to pivot and adapt
- Proactive, resourceful, and tenacious.
- Keen understanding of construction cost estimating and skillful ability to negotiate costs
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Ability to sequence and write schedules
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically

Traveling Superintendent

About the Job: The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the planning, coordinating, and direct supervision of all suppliers and subcontractors to ensure each project remains on schedule and within budget. Projects will be located nationwide.
The ideal candidate is a results-oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to deal effectively and interact well with clients, jurisdictions, subcontractors, and employees.
We have a strong workload in Southern California, but our coverage extends from Texas to the West Coast.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Plan, coordinate, and supervise suppliers and subcontractors in the best interest of the project schedule and budget guidelines.
· Prepare project schedules and communicate to all parties the sequence of performing their scope of work.
· Work closely with the project management team to ensure on-time completion.
· Conduct safety site meetings and maintain project safety files and records
· Practice and implement the Company safety protocols.
· Perform and manage quality control.
· Complete the close-out process by maintaining accurate as-built drawings throughout the project, completing punch lists, inspections, and sign-offs.
· Review plans, complete constructability review, submit and maintain RFI’s, review submittals, maintain daily logs, document project status, and track materials and deliveries.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· 3+ years in the commercial construction industry, ground up work preferred.
· Must have strong ability to read and understand construction documents.
· Highly organized, positive attitude, and team player
· Ability and willingness to travel throughout the U.S. for the project duration.
· Proven background with employee/management relationships
· Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive-level clients.
· Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to identify and manage priorities.
· Capable of multi-tasking and the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite a plus
· CPR/First Aid Certification.
· OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
